THE TRANSFIGURATION CHAPEL OF CALERUEGA

The facade of The Transfiguration Chapel of Caleruega-Philippines is a replica of the original chapel in Caleruega, Spain.  It is a favorite chapel for weddings for its majestic European-inspired architecture, beautiful landscaping, solemnity and breathtaking views. Although located in Batangas City, the cool breeze from nearby Tagaytay finds its way to this charming chapel that further adds to it its appeal.  Couples are advised to book as early as a year before to assure its availability.

CHURCH FEES AND INCLUSIONS:

Rate: PHP 15,000.00

Use of the chapel is inclusive of Sound System, Organ, CD Player and the Sacristan who will assist in the mass. All the other requirements should be provided by the couple (choir, flower arrangements, photographers, missalette and carpet)

* While Caleruega can provide a priest to solemnize the marriage (subject to availability),the couples are at liberty to invite a priest of their choice. We do not have a fixed amount for priest’s stipend and  we leave that to the generosity of the couple.

 

WEDDING SCHEDULES:

·         Mondays to Saturdays: 9-11AM; 3-5PM; 6-8PM

·         Sundays                 :  8-10AM; 3-5PM; 6-8PM        

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR WEDDING APPLICATION

A. Both Filipino Couples:

            To be accomplished 3 months before the wedding date.

1. Marriage License (120 days validity)  This can be secured from the municipal hall of any of the party.

2. New Copy of Baptismal Certificate

3. New Copy of Confirmation Certificate

- Document #2 and #3 can be secured from parish where the person received the Sacrament of Baptism and Confirmation.
- 6 months validity
- Both documents must be inscribed with “FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES”

4. CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage) 3 months validity

5. Pre-Cana SeminarThis can also be taken from any parish. Please secure certificate of attendance.

6. Canonical Interviews *(schedule interview at least 6 weeks before the wedding thru the parish secretary).

7. Marriage Banns *

8. Name /License No. of officiating priest *

9. Name of Principal Sponsors *

10. Certificate of Freedom to Marry * Requirement for those who stayed abroad for more than 6 months.

11. Couple’s picture*

N.B. Instructions regarding these requirements shall be provided for by St. Francis Xavier Parish as the canonical requirements are processed by and pertinent documents kept by the said parish. (For every wedding an amount of Php. 5,000.00 is forwarded by Caleruega to St. Francis Xavier Parish for the above services).

 

B. Mixed Marriage Requirements:

For those who have stayed abroad for more than 6 months, you are required to submit a Certificate of Freedom to Marry. 

 

REGULATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS:

A Reservation fee is required. Non-refundable/ non-transferable 

- Php 5,000.00 for the use of chapel.
- Php 10,000.00 for the use of reception areas.
- Confirmation is effective upon completion of the balance a month prior to the wedding otherwise the slot shall be automatically made available to other interested parties.
- Reservation is on a first come first serve basis policy.
- Rates are subject to change without prior notice

B. Restrictions for Wedding Reception:

1. Reception music must be reasonably modulated.
2. Fireworks / Firecrackers are permitted outside Caleruega premises.
3. Reception until: 3 PM only for – morning weddings, 9 PM only for – afternoon wedding, 11 PM only for – evening wedding.
4. No smoking inside Caleruega premises.
5. Free parking inside Caleruega.

C. Additional Information:

a. Parking: Chapel Front accommodates 20 cars, additional parking available along the road      
b. Air Conditioning: Not Available

 

RECEPTION (VENUE ONLY)

Couple will provide for their own caterer & sound system.

1) PLAZA DE AZA & TUKTOK (Roofdeck) Php. 40,000.00

·         Seating Capacity – 200 persons

·         Outdoor and can be outfitted with tents.

2) VERITAS HALL Php. 30,000.00

·         Seating Capacity – 200 persons

·         Additional Php. 7,500.00 for the use of Aircon.

3) GAZEKUBO  Php 25,000.00

·         Seating Capacity – 60 persons

·         Additional Php 5,000 for the use Aircon.

4) KAMPO ARRIBA (Camp Site) Php. 40,000.00

·         Seating Capacity – 200 persons

·         Outdoor and can be outfitted with tents
